SnapTok is built to minimise data. This page explains what we collect, what we don’t, and the rights you have.
Data we do NOT collect
SnapTok needs no account and collects no personally identifying information to use the tool.
- We do not store the links you paste into the downloader.
- We do not keep a download history or the files you download.
- We never ask for your TikTok, Facebook or any other account password.
Data processed when you download
When you paste a link, our server fetches the corresponding public file and streams it to your browser. The link is processed transiently for that request and is not retained afterwards.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic and key actions (such as daily download counts) so we can improve the service. This data is aggregated and anonymous; we do not use it to identify you personally and do not use it for advertising.
Browser extension
The SnapTok browser extension collects no data. It reads the current tab’s URL only when you click the extension (Chrome’s activeTab permission), and uses it solely to open snaptok.app with that link prefilled. It has no access to page content, injects no code, runs no background tracking, and requires no host permissions.
Cookies and local storage
SnapTok uses a small amount of essential cookies/local storage (for example, to remember your language) plus Google Analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy for details.
Data sharing
We do not sell or trade personal data. The only providers involved are Google (Analytics) and the server/CDN infrastructure that serves the site.
Your choices
You can block analytics cookies through your browser settings or Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. For any data questions, contact admin@snaptok.app.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, the new version is posted on this page with its update date.
